New stage

We are always making improvements to our fit studio and will always continue to. Our latest upgrade has been to rip out our old stage and put in a new rotating stage (note our new CompuTrainer too). Now we will be able to fit more efficiently which gets you an even better fit and saves you time.

Retul University

This post was originally written in July 2011 but never published.

Today was the 1st of 3 days of learning at Retul University at their Denver location. I had read about the Retul 3D motion capture system over the years and thought it was pretty cool. Let me assure you, after today I know it is. Check out http://www.retul.com/ for the finer details. Usually when I go to a fit school there are 12-25+ people there so you don't get the full attention that I feel you need. For these 3 days I am the only student here. There is no waiting for my turn or listening to somebody ask the same questions again and again. It's nice.

Above is my fit. We fit the only test subject we had (me) and recorded my coordinates with the Zin digitizer measuring tool (see video below).

Below are some of the high profile riders who have been Retuled.

Below is there saddle wall. There setup looks pretty cool.

Tight Squeeze

Yes, we work on recumbent bikes every now and then. With our tight service area we have to find unique solutions. Today Joseph had to stand on a bar stool to adjust the rear derailleur. Oh well, it works.

Shooting A Commercial

Today we started shooting for our Pro Cycle & Tri commercial.  Our friend Matt Gates did the filming and our friend Andrew did the acting. As you could assume, all of the shots were done right here in beautiful Fairhope, AL. Stay tuned for the final product.

Year 1 in the books!

Last week Pro Cycle & Triathlon hit the 1 year mark!  Our 1st year was quite the year and we had fun the whole time. It seems like we opened the doors just yesterday.
It wasn't all fun and games, many nights we burned the midnight oil but it was well worth the effort.
Our #1 employee hard at work.
We hosted many events in our 1st year. Many free maintenance clinics, Tour de France parties, shop rides, cycling 101 clinics and the list goes on.

We can't wait to see what year 2 brings!

Fairhope Cycling Project

A small group of us have started a local cycling team. Things have been exciting as the season approaches. Many of us on the team have been apart of big teams in the past but we have never managed or done the back-end work involved with running a team, things have gone surprisingly smooth so far. Sponsors are committed, schedules have almost been finalized and team uniforms are in production. Now all we need to do is train and race hard.

Above is the 2012 team jersey.
Our title sponsor is Lewis, Feldman & Lehane out of Birmingham. They are cycling attorneys and damn good ones. They have been a huge help in getting this team rolling.
